DNA Health Testing

A more personalised approach to your health.

I am are delighted to be able to offer DNA based genetic health testing as an additional service within my practice at Better Health Kinesiology, following extensive training with DNA Life. Our Genes carry valuable information about how our bodies function. By looking at specific genetic variations, we can gain a better understanding of how your body may process nutrients, manage inflammation, deal with oxidative stress, regulate hormones and support its natural detoxification pathways.

DNA testing can provide useful insights into areas such as gut health, methylation, vitamin requirements, food responsiveness and how your body responds to exercise and stress. The real benefit is being able to taken individualised approach to nutrition and wellbeing. Your results can help guide personalised dietary, nutritional and lifestyle recommendations based on your genetic profile.

Your DNA is not your destiny. Genetic variations include potential strengths and areas that may need additional support, rather than predicting you will develop particular health conditions. I can use this information alongside Kinesiology to build a more complete picture of your health and help you make informed choices about supporting your own body.

Your health is individual. Your approach to supporting it should be too.

DNA testing can provide insights into how your body is genetically predisposed to function and where it may benefit from additional nutritional and lifestyle support. It can help explore:

  • Nutritional needs – How efficiently your body processes and uses essential vitamins, minerals and nutrients.
  • Gut health and digestion – Genetic factors involved in digestive function and nutrient absorption.
  • Detoxification – How your body processes and eliminates certain toxins and waste products.
  • Hormonal balance – Genetic influences on hormone metabolism and regulation including oestrogen and other sex hormones.
  • Inflammation – Genetic variations that may influence your body’s inflammatory responses.
  • Immune function – Genetic factors involved in immune system activity and defence.
  • Oxidative stress – How effectively your body manages free radicals and protects cells.
  • Methylation – How efficiently your body carries out important processes involved in DNA maintenance
  • Neurotransmitter production and nutrient metabolism.
  • Heart and cardiovascular health – Genetic factors associated with cholesterol processing and cardiovascular function.
  • Weight management – How your genes may influence weight gain, fat storage, metabolism, appetite, hunger, food cravings, carbohydrate and fat sensitivity, eating behaviours and how your body responds to different dietary approaches and exercise. Genetic insights can help guide a more personalised approach to nutrition and maintaining a healthy weight.
  • Bone and joint health – Genetic factors influencing bone mineral density and susceptibility to reduced bone strength.
  • Iron metabolism – How your body absorbs, transports and regulates iron.
  • Food sensitivities and intolerances – Genetic markers associated with lactose and gluten intolerance, caffeine and salt sensitivity.
  • Energy and metabolism – How your body may respond to different foods, exercise and dietary approaches.
  • Fertility and reproductive health – Genetic factors that may influence reproductive health and pre-conception nutritional requirements.
  • Pregnancy and maternal health – Genetic factors associated with pregnancy, including pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes, pregnancy-related blood pressure, recurrent pregnancy loss and preterm birth.
  • Medication response – How your genes may influence the way your body processes certain medications, including potential differences in effectiveness and the likelihood of side effects.
  • Mental health and brain function – Genetic factors involved in neurotransmitter pathways, stress response, mood, cognitive function and brain health.
  • Stress resilience – How genetic variations may influence your body’s response to stress and its ability to adapt to physical and emotional demands.
  • Sports performance and recovery – Genetic insights into muscle strength, endurance, exercise response, injury susceptibility and recovery.
